Through our program, you’ll see a wide variety of patients with conditions linked to ethnic, cultural and underserved populations - patients who suffer from conditions such as HIV/AIDS, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and low birth weight, developmental challenges, pharyngeal cancers and other marginalizing conditions.

Our faculty includes experienced and knowledgeable academic leaders, seasoned clinical practitioners, and global influencers in myriad oral health specialties.
In addition to closely mentoring our residents, many of our faculty members often provide opportunities to participate in global dental missions. In fact, many of our faculty have received lifetime achievement awards, practitioner awards and are high profile advocates in governmental policy changes to provide equitable dental services worldwide.

LMC Dental places special emphasis on expanding residents’ knowledge of newly established Surgeon General links between oral health and many diseases including: cardiovascular disease, diabetes, low birth weight, birth defects, developmental disorders, pharyngeal cancers, HIV/AIDS, aging population and other chronic and disabling conditions that are especially high in low income, underserved and certain ethnic populations.

Our programs enable new postgraduate residents to expand their skills by being placed throughout a network of more than 100 fully equipped extramural Community Healthcare Centers (CHC) and Indian Health Services (IHS) partner clinics.
Our goal is to ensure ubiquitous, affordable oral healthcare worldwide. Currently, LMC Dental has CHC multi-site affiliations in more than 15 contiguous states in the United States, along with Puerto Rico, Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Virgin Islands, Trinidad and Tobago.
